The Unconventional Becomes the Noticed.

Off the top of your head what was the last advertising campaign you remembered?

I'm not talking about the campaigns using a distinctive colour logo that is plastered on every sign on every corner that you are forced to remember OR a quirky animal on a television ad who jokes in a weird accent. I'm talking about the unconventional/unique advertisements that make you stop and think, "Wow, now that's cool, I want that!"

Today's trendy advertising ideas force the 'out-of-the-box' thinking while not forgetting the marketing's intent. The unconventional direction advertising is heading in our society today is not only entertaining and pertinent but I consider a new form of art today.

This is an ad for folgers coffee in New York. A giant picture of a coffee printed on vinyl is placed on top of a steaming manhole cover creating an effect of a steaming cup.

A life-size crane advertising Lego bricks.
