Political Participation 2.0

As Barack Obama prepares to take his place in the White House, Don Tapscott reports that the President-Elect is asking for feedback from his supporters via an online survey. Tapscott explains that this Web 2.0 tactic of using the Internet for two-way conversation illustrates the Obama camp's understanding of "Net Geners," also known as "Generation Y."

Obama's message of change clearly resonated with Americans, young people in particular, during his presidential election campaign. He used the media, technology, and the blogosphere to connect to his audience throughout his campaign and it seems he will continue to do so as President of the United States.
